James C. Chambers, 81, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023. He was a native of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, and was a retired millwright. He proudly served in the United States Navy, and was a former member of the American Legion and VFW. Jim was from a Naval family. His older brother, R. Hugh Chambers was a naval officer, and his younger sister, Susan Chambers Manda, also served in the Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Chambers; his parents, John and Margaret Chambers; and siblings, R. Hugh Chambers, Judith Booth, and Susan Manda. Jim is survived by his step-children, Janet Hurt and David Hubbuch (Tammy); a niece, Sabre Chambers Leek (Jim), and nephews, John C. Chambers (Kelly), Richard Manda and William Manda; along with a host of great nieces and great nephews. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
