James "Larry" Lawrence Jennette

James Lawrence "Larry" Jennette, 81, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Norton Audubon Hospital.  He was born on February 28, 1943 in Louisville, KY to the late James and Effie Jennette.  Larry was a graduate of the University of Louisville and a retired purchasing manager for Henry Vogt Company where he worked for 22 years.  Larry was an avid University of Louisville fan, a Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals fan.  He attended Church of the Crossroads and was very active in the grief support group there at the church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Verna Mothershead Jennette; and a sister, Jo Nell Smith.  Larry leave behind a son, Tim Jennette (Mary Jo); a daughter, Lorri Chick (Sammy); along with four grandchildren, Megan Chick, Natalie Jennette, Zachary Chick, and Libby Jennette.  Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2024 with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. and after 11 a.m. Monday.  Memorial gifts in his memory are suggested to Kosair Charities.
