Janet Ann (Key) Harlow, 80, of Shepherdsville, KY, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at her son's home. Janet was a graduate of Shepherdsville High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville where she served over the years as a Sunday School teacher and also worked in the food pantry. She was bookkeeper for Bullitt Central High School until retiring, where she was known to be a stickler for balancing her books to the penny. "Mamaw" was a lover of sweet tea, chocolate, genealogy, hummingbirds, and her grandchildren. More than about anything, she loved her "mother & daddy", and her family takes comfort in knowing they are together again. Among some of those who preceded her in death are her husband, Walden "Glenn" Harlow, daughter, Debbie Hudson, mother, Ann Bogard, and grandparents, Georgia and Sydney Bogard. Janet was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She is survived by her son, Ronald Harlow (Stephanie), grandchildren, Jeff Hudson, Scott Hudson, Emily Harlow, Jenna Askins (Jared) and others she never forgot and always loved; great grandchildren, Alyssa Hayes and Elysia Rose. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Thursday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville, Crusade for Children, or the Mt. Washington Cemetery Fund.
