Jean Tate Obituary

Jean Tate, 90, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at her home. Jean was a retired accountant for General Electric where she worked for 44 years, a member of Cooper Memorial United Methodist Church, Buckley Moss Society, and was a Kentucky Colonel. She enjoyed traveling, classical music, and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elby and Prudie Tate; and one brother, Dennis Tate. Jean is survived by one niece, Linda Tichenor; a great niece, Rebecca Serrano (Brandon); great nephew, Charlie Tichenor (Mollie); and a great-great nephew, William Serrano. A private graveside service will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers are suggested to donor's favorite charity.
