Jeannine (Roby) Downs

Jeannine Roby Downs, 85, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Baptist Health.  Jeannine was a member of Southeast Christian Church.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and often enjoyed visiting shut-in's at the nursing home.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Downs; a son, Ricky Crawford; her parents, Louis and Angeline Roby; and siblings, Maylene Tichenor, Jimmy and Junior Roby.  Jeannine is survived by her daughter, Kathy Trulock; a son, Tony Crawford; stepchildren, Lori Jones, Gene Downs, and Rob Downs; one grandson, Christopher Trulock (Kristen); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.  Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and after 11 am.. Wednesday.  Memorial gifts are suggest to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
