Jimmy Hawthorne Obituary

Jimmy D. Hawthorne, 80, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away May 18, 2022 in Taylorsville, Ky. He spent his career in maintenance with the metals recycling industry and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Rufus and Daisy Lee Hawthorne; along with his brothers, Rufus, Jr., Dennis, and Stevie Hawthorne. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Hawthorne; two sons, Richard (Bonnie) and Robert Hawthorne; one daughter, Regina Taylor; one brother, Danny Hawthorne (Vickie); two sisters, Judy Hughes (Charles) and Janet Hampel (Bill); along with five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Cremation was chosen and McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington, Ky has been entrusted with arrangements. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make all memorial contributions to Hosparus of Louisville.
