John L. Crisp, Sr.

John L. Crisp, Sr., 81, of Mt. Washington, passed away February 2, 2026 at Franciscan Healthcare.  John was a member of B.A.S.S., the Stump Jumpers Bass Club, and worked many junior fishing tournaments.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Laura Crisp; his beloved wife, Donna Crisp; along with his siblings, Bertha, Kathleen, Louise, Chris, Sue, Mary, Genevieve, Jimmie, and Joann.  He is survived by his son, John Crisp, Jr. (Robin); two daughters, Laura Netherton (Chris) and Diana Godwin (Brian); one sister, Doris Rhodes; along with nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen.   A memorial service honoring both John and Donna Crisp will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home.  Friends may visit from noon until time of service.
