Joyce L. Owen

Joyce L. Owen, 86, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Baptist Health. She was the former Joyce Smith, a retired clerk for the city of Mt. Washington, and a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Danna Hill Owen; her parents, Emmett and Etta B. Smith; and siblings, Glenda Owen, Carol Coleman, J. W. and Paul Vernon Smith. Joyce is survived by two daughters, Debbie Reed and Barbara Reasor (Ralph); a son, Scott Owen; two sisters, Garneta Ryan and Etta Rhea Coulter; along with 5 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Alzheimer Association.
