Judith Gayle Brown, 80, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at her home. Judy was born on May 26, 1944 in Louisville, KY to the late Ben and Ruby Hall Hough. She was a retired employee of Leggett & Platt, former co-owner of Cut Rate Liquors, and a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and shopping. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Brown; a son, Steve Barnes; two brothers, Bobby and Ralph Hough; sons-in-law, Charles Summitt and David Kelty; a granddaughter, Brooke Husband; nephew, Lane Hough; and niece, Megan Hough. Judy is survived by three daughters, Debbie Summitt, Leisa Kelty, and Kathy Husband (Kevin); father of her children, Henry Barnes; five grandchildren, Mandy Billings, Stephen Barnes, Kelsey Summitt, Adam Kelty, and Matthew Husband; eleven great-grandchildren, Cody, Chloe, and Caydence Billings, Amaya Husband, Hazley and Hadley Summitt, Jett and Cole Kelty, Emily, Danica, and Lucas Barnes; and a nephew, Chad Hough. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday. Memorial gifts in her memory are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
