Karen Renee Crady

Karen Renee Crady, 60, of Taylorsville, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was the former Karen Richard, worked in occupational therapy at Hazelwood Center, and was a member of Belmont Baptist Church.  She enjoyed working out and did the workout boot camp.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Crady; a daughter, Erin Schroader; and her father, Bobby Gene Richard.  Karen is survived by her son, Zach Schroader (Sara); her mother, Mildred Richard; four siblings, Tobee Taylor (Steve), Victor Richard, Rita Miller (Tony), and Theresa Simmons (Leland); two grandchildren, Brian Schroader and Madisyn Schroader; one great granddaughter, Erin Schroader; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.  Funeral service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with cremation to follow.  Friends may visit from 3 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday.  Memorial gifts are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
