Katherine Louise Armstrong, 88, of Shepherdsville, returned to the Lord on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at her home. Louise was a retired Special Education teacher for Bullitt Central High School, a retired office manager for Bullitt Turf Service, and retired secretary for Bullitt Lick Baptist Church. She also served her community as the past director of the American Red Cross – Bullitt County Disaster Team, Shepherdsville Lions Club, and charter member of Fellowship of Concern. She grew up attending church at First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville and was a current member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Rev. Ray Armstrong; two sons, Gregory Ray Armstrong and Paul Bradley Armstrong; a grandson, Ian Gregory Armstrong; and her parents, Columbus and Mary Catherine Pugh. Louise is survived by three children, John Hilton (Dee), Terri Sue Armstrong, and Sherri Lou Armstrong; one brother, Kenneth Lee Pugh; a niece, Darlene Wilson; along with eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Friends may visit from 4 p.m. until time of service on Tuesday. Memorial gifts are suggested to Fellowship of Concern, P.O. Box 6624, Shepherdsville, KY 40165.
