Kay S. Williams, 83, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. She was the former Kay Schickli and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Throughout the course of her life, Kay had many jobs, but her most important was being a mother. She worked as a flight attendant, a nurse, bookkeeper for Williams Sanitation, a realtor, night auditor, and owner of BK’s Bar. The biggest part of her working life was spent as a seamstress. She did repairs and alterations for so many in the community. She also prepared curtains and drapery for Homerama. One of Kay’s big moments in her life was her appearance on the Price Is Right, where she made it to the final showcase. She also volunteered as a cheerleading coach, girl’s softball coach, and 4H instructor. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Williams; her parents, Clarence and Margaret Schickli; and her sister, Margaret Ann Wredman. Kay is survived by four sons, Vance, Vincent, Vaughn (Sandy) Russell (Mitchell) Williams; two nieces, Lori and Debra “Sam”; ten grandchildren, Shaun, Vance, Kenny, Claire, Tyler, Jacob, Savannah, Myah, Rachel and Timothy; and great granddaughter, Aubrie; along with Rhonda Shuffitt, whom she loved like her daughter-in-law. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 12 p.m. Sunday. Memorial gifts are suggested to Molly Johnson Foundation, P.O. Box 215, Fisherville, KY 40023.
