Kim E. Marks, 67, of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Baptist Health Louisville. He was a proud U. S. Airforce veteran, a caregiver, and enjoyed volunteering at the Veteran's Hospital. He loved music and going to concerts; he had attended over 2000. He enjoyed playing cards, board games, and going to Churchill Downs. He was known by all of his friends as "Mayor of the Backside". Kim was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Marks. Kim is survived by his significant other, Laura Rothgeb-Marks; his mother, Wanda Marks; four sisters, Yolanda Apanewicz, Jamie Hermes, Sherrie Bauman, and Cindy Marks; an aunt, Elta Hiner; uncles, David Marks and Tommy Marks (Brenda); niece and nephews, Brandye Jones (David), Kenny Rogers (Stephanie), and Keith Goings (Monica). A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 4 p.m. until time of service on Friday. Memorial gifts in his memory are suggested to Tunnels to Towers.
