Kodelia Hortense (Boston) Swears

Kodelia H. Swears, 81, of Mt. Washington, passed away February 20, 2022 at Baptist Health Louisville.  She was a former employee of General Electric and a member of Farmdale Baptist Church.  She loved spending time with her grandkids, taking them fishing and working around the farm.  Kodelia also enjoyed working with her flowers, feeding the birds, and spending time with her little dog, Zoey.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ola and Bernice Boston; her husband, Jackson L. Swears; along with a daughter, Donna Johnson.  She is survived by three sons, Jeff, Roger, and Barry (Heather) Swears; along with eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.  Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Friday at the Farmdale Baptist Church with burial to follow in Lebanon National Cemetery, 20 State Hwy. 208, Lebanon, KY 40033.  Friends may visit after 10 a.m. until time of service.  McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington has been entrusted with arrangements.
