Kyle L. Stivers

Kyle L. Stivers, 79, of Mt. Washington, formerly of Cox's Creek, passed away December 29, 2025 at UL Health-Jewish Hospital.  He was a retired machinist for Whip Mix Corporation and a United States Army Veteran.  He was an avid gun collector and lover of music.  Kyle also enjoyed collecting antiques, hunting, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and his cats.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Stivers; his wife, Kayleen Stivers; a son, Kyle Richard; two daughters, Teresa Louise and Diana Sue; a step-son, Patrick Engelstad; a brother, Lloyd Stivers; along with a sister, Donna Haynes.  He is survived by his two daughters, Shelby Packer (Steven) and Melissa Palmer; a step-son, Michael Engelstad; one brother, John Kime; a sister, Roxanne Davis; along with ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen.  A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 1-3 p.m. at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home.
