Obituary
Larry W. Gowins, Sr., 71, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at his home. He was a native of Cornishvile, KY and a retired mechanic for Prime Construction Rental. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, and boating. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Gowins; his parents, Hershel and Dorothy Gowins; and a brother, Tony Gowins. Larry is survived by two sons, Larry Jr. and Michael (Susan) Gowins; a sister, JoAnn Bowman (Kelly); sister-in-law, Brenda Gowins; granddaughter, Brookelynn Gowins; and two step grandchildren, Megan Shawen and Allison Harding. There will be a visitation on Monday, July 17, 2023 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m.
