Larry Ronald Rodgers, 68, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his home. Larry was married on November 30, 1974 on Webb AFB, Big Spring, TX to Sherry L. Russell, and moved to Kentucky shortly thereafter. A degree in Business Administration led him into the restaurant business. After years of working with Gatti's Corp., he became an owner/operator of a Mr. Gatti's franchise before health reasons led to an early retirement. Larry was an animal lover, an avid sports fan, a Kentucky Colonel, and a United States Airforce veteran. He had a quick wit, and was known for his perfectly timed comedy one-liners. He loved music and was a skilled musician, playing several instruments including guitar, piano, and drums. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Delores 'Rodgers; his father and mother-in-law, George and Revia Russell; brothers, Paul, Nathan, and Steven Rodgers; and sister, Marsha McClung; and brother-in-law, Charles "Jay" Brock. Larry leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Sherry Rodgers; two daughters, Heather Jo Rich and Alisha Uddin (Imran); two sons, Larry R. "Bubba" (Kristin) and Jordan B. Rodgers; grandchildren, Abigail Rodgers, Madison Rich, Ethan Rich, Emily Rich, Anna, Ella, and Kinley Rodgers; three sisters, Linda Jo Rodgers, Brenda Collingsworth (Johnny), and Anita Rodgers; along with a host of extended family and friends. Cremation was chosen. There will be a memorial service held at a later date.
