Laura Jo (Rivers) Lawson

Laura Jo Lawson, 78, of Jeffersonville, KY, returned to the Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Baptist Health Louisville.  Laura was born on November 12, 1947 in Lee County, Virginia to the late Curtis and Fannie Rivers.   She was a homemaker and a Pentecostal by faith.  She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed watching Christian television programs.  Laura is survived by two daughters, Melissa Burgess (Geoffery) and Wadona Rogers (William); three sisters, Glenda Mohr, Verla Pennington, and Sheila Thompson; five grandchildren, Ryan Hurt (Ciera), Ashley Mullins, Laura Mullins (Justin West), C.J. Mullins, and Laranda Fowler (Alex); along with 16 great grandchildren.  Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2025 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home.  Friends may visit from 12 p.m. until time of service.  Memorial gifts in her memory are suggested to The Believers Church, 7905 Smyrna Parkway, Louisville, KY 40228.
