Leticia Medina “Leti” Robbins, 95, of Louisville, passed away November 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Colon, Panama, one of three children, to David and Juana Medina. She was a devout Catholic and was retired from Bechtel, Inc. where she worked for many years as an administrative assistant. She met her husband of 74 years, Rex, at the end of World War II in the Panama Canal Zone, they married and then moved to the United States, where she then became a United States citizen. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Juana Medina; along with her siblings, David O., Jr. and Dilza Medina. Along with her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Linda Herosian (Alan), Vivian Rakestraw (Russ), Teresita Crady (Roy), Helen Kidd (Jim), and Kathy Ison; along with ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Gabriel Catholic Church with burial to follow Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to her church.
