Lewis Dean King, 91, of Mount Washington, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Glen Ridge Health Campus. He graduated from the Mount Washington High School and the University of Louisville. He served in the United States Air Force, where he was a meteorologist. He retired from CSX and was a member of Salt River Masonic Lodge #180 F&AM and First Baptist Church Mount Washington, where he served as a deacon, a Sunday School teacher, and a member of the choir. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudell and Frances King; his wives, Bonnie J. Owen King and Myra June Means King; a daughter-in-law, June King; along with his sister, Linda Houck. He is survived by his son, David D. King; three step-sons, Larry J. (Cathy), Steven H., and David G. (Donna) Means; four nephews, Rusty (Lorri), Rex (Carrie), Randy (Holly), and Rory (Myra) Houck; two nieces, Rhonda Mitchell (Randy) and Robbin Offutt; two grandchildren, Meredith and Christopher (Kaitlin) King; along with several other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 3-7 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
