Lois Lee (Mathews) Bowles

Lois Lee Bowles, 80, of Mt. Washington, passed away March 20, 2025 at Park Terrace.  She retired as an assistant manager and cosmetologist with Walgreens.  Lois was a member of the Green Acres Baptist Church.  She loved scrapbooking, Bullitt East Baseball, but most of all, following her grandson’s baseball journeys through the years.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie Emmett and Irene Marie Mathews; a sister, Dorothy Marie Stogdill; along with a brother-in-law, Joe Green.  She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Bowles; her son, Jeff Bowles (Nancy); a sister, Linda Green; along with three grandchildren, Michael (Rachel), Matthew ( Kimberly), and Jacob (Emmie) and five great-grandchildren, Gavin, Griffin, Stella, Cecilia, and Landon.  Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025 at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mount Washington Cemetery.  Friends may visit 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
