Lois Mae (Brown) Woods

Lois Mae Woods, 81, of Mt. Washington, KY, returned to the Lord on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.  Lois was born on August 28, 1944 in Spencer County, KY to the late Lloyd Woodrow and Anna Mae Brown.  She was a devoted homemaker and Seventh Day Adventist. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Woods; and two brothers, James and Ronnie Brown.

Lois is survived by two sons, Larry Raymond Woods (Brenda) and Jeffrey Scott Woods; one daughter, Sherry Lynn Young (Don); three sisters, Linda Rogers, Bonnie Lang, and Patricia Miller; three brothers, Jack, Roger, and Bob Brown; along with four grandchildren, Joshua, Megan, Amy, and Noah.

Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2026 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home.  Friends may visit from 12 p.m. until time of service on Sunday.   Private burial will take place in Resthaven Memorial Park. Memorial gifts are suggested to Hosparus of Louisville.
