Loren David Jones passed peacefully in his sleep early Sunday morning October 29th, 2023, at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife Ann, two daughters Shari McCauley (Kevin), Tina Hastings (Ron), grandchildren Gavin, Jillian and Seth Hastings, Jackson, Stanton and Ashley McCauley. Loren served in the Airforce where he worked as a jet engine mechanic. He used those skills to become a diesel mechanic until he retired in 2001. He was a man who could fix anything and loved his family. Loren enjoyed fishing, old TV westerns, helping people fix their cars, building anything you could think of, and he made delicious sunny-side-up eggs. His quick wit put a smile on everyone’s face. His sense of humor was intact right up to the end, and he will be missed. In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen. McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Dementia Society of America. https://dementiasociety.charityproud.org/donate.
