Louise Evon Key, 86, of Mt. Washington, passed away May 12, 2026 at her home. She was a long time member of the Mount Washington Church of God, where she loved singing and led the choir. She also enjoyed sewing and shopping. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Hattie Belle Simmons; her husband, James Key; along with a brother, Zebbie Simmons. She is survived by a son, Stanley Powers (Susan); two daughters, Pamela Stevens (Keith) and Deborah Pardon (Anthony); two brothers, Harold (Donna) and Don (Connie) Simmons; three sisters, Sheila Martin, Cindy Pendleton (John), and Pat Demshar (Jack); along with 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends may visit 3-8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
