Martha Lou (Dooley) Baskett

Martha Lou Baskett, 84, of Mt. Washington, formerly of Jeffersontown, passed away May 28, 2024 at Baptist Health Louisville.  She was a retired school bus driver for Jefferson County Public Schools and a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Garner and Bertha Lloyd Dooley; her loving husband, T.L. Baskett; along with her siblings, Betty Lutes, Lloyd Hill Dooley, Anita Ann Lutes, Jerry Dooley, Garner Lucille Dooley, Irvin Nall Dooley, and Bonnie Jean Dooley.  She is survived by her son, Gary Baskett (Mary); her sister, Judy Stallings; two grandchildren, Cory Baskett and Nicole Waddell (Zach); a great-granddaughter, Rose Baskett; two sisters-in-law, Helen Hester and Jo Dooley; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.  Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.  Friends may visit 5-8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
