Martha Geneva Nutgrass, 94, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Sunday, March 7, 2021. Geneva was a retired employee of the Bullitt County Public School System, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 552, Kings Baptist Church, and currently attended Pleasure Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Earl Nutgrass; her parents, Virgil and Iona Cox; and siblings, Earl, Ralph, Herbert, Paul, Joe, Kenneth, Lurlean, Thelma, Margaret, Virginia, Ruth, and Flora Ellen. Geneva is survived by three sons, Danny, David, and Darrell Nutgrass; one sister, Bonnie Jean Bodine; nine grandchildren, Kayla, Robbie, and Jeff Nutgrass, Ricky Foster, Melody Lyon, Tammy Bard, Jerry Foster, Tina Miller, and Chad Allen; along with eleven great grandchildren; and thirteen great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday. Memorial gifts are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
