Mary Janelle Livers Stansbury, 90, of Louisville passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Glen Ridge Health Campus. She was born on May 16, 1935 in Cox's Creek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Vella Stansbury; two children, Michael and David Stansbury; parents, Joseph Chester and Mary Thelma Livers; and three brothers and a sister, J.C. Livers, Leo Livers, Joe Livers and Jane Spalding. She is survived by three children, Polly (Gerald Simms) Stansbury, Roy Stansbury and Danny (Debbie Daub) Stansbury; two grandchildren, Eric and Samantha; one great-grandchild, Ashlyn; four brothers, Bob (Barbara) Livers, Jerry (Sandy) Livers, Billy (Marilyn) Livers and Jimmy (Linda) Livers; one sister, Catherine Allender; and many many nieces and nephews. Janelle and Vella loved to travel and made tracks all over the United States, visiting national parks and casinos everywhere. Vella would drive and Janelle would crochet. They took pictures wherever they went, many of which were developed. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 18, 2025 at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church followed by burial in St. Gregory Cemetery and the bereavement luncheon in St Gregory’s Community Center. Visitation will be from 4:00 till 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at McFarland -Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington.
