Maurice David Grimm, 77, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024 at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Memory Care Unit. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 34 years of service, served in the U.S. Army in Alaska, and was a faithful member of Mt. Washington United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Lucy Grimm, and a special grandson, Cole Grimm. Maurice is survived by his wife, Eva Grimm; son, Christopher Grimm, daughter, Tricia Meredith; daughter, Daina Wilson; stepdaughter, Shellie Turner; stepson, Allen Holland; grandchildren, Jamie, Megan, Nicholas, Taylor Cheyenne, Ben, and Bailee; great grandchildren, Ezra, Tristan, Payton, and Jesse; and several special cousins. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2024 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until time of service on Friday. Our family would like to thank the staff at the Lantern at Morning Pointe for their love, kindness, and patience during these 2 plus years of this challenging journey. Their love for him, and his love for them, has made this journey so much easier for all of us. Memorial gifts in his memory are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice.
