Max Sherrill Myers

Max Sherrill Myers, 85, of Mt. Washington, passed away March 3, 2022 at Green Meadows Healthcare Center.  He was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church, a graduate of Lebanon High School, an avid UK sports fan, and attended Eastern Kentucky University.  Max was a retired truck driver for Kroger and proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He coached little league basketball, baseball, and softball.  He played senior softball and golf, and his lawn was his pride and joy.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Porter Bell and Florence Adaline Wade Myers; a sister, Del Rita Myers LeNeave; along with a brother, Charles Curtis Myers.  He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jo Sweat Myers; two sons, Perry Max (Jamie) and Darin Paul (Kimberly) Myers; a daughter, Stephanie Jo Carroll; his grandchildren, Lorin Jo Self and Nicole Ann Travis Max, Max Paul, and Megan Olivia Myers; along with his great-grandchildren, Emma and Parker.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at Guardian Angels Catholic Church with Father Jeffery Leger officiating.  Friends may visit 4-8 p.m. Monday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington.  Burial will take place 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lebanon National Cemetery.   Expressions of sympathy may be made to Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Louisville or St. Benedict Catholic Church, Lebanon Junction.
