Melvin Wayne Burtchett

Melvin Wayne Burtchett, 63, of Bardstown, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at his home.   He was a native of St. Joseph, Michigan, a member of DAV #3 in Elizabethtown, KY, and Wickland Baptist Church. Melvin served our country proudly for 16 years in the U. S. Army, and was a retired employee of Arvarto Digital.   He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kitty Caroline Burtchett; and his parents, Lawrence  and Lovina Burtchett.  Melvin is survived by two stepdaughters, Ginger Lee Scearce and Jeannie Weaver;  four siblings, Sherrie Wandersee, Marvin Burtchett, Rex Burtchett, and Sheila Burtchett; along with three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen.
