Michael Thomas Potter

Michael Thomas Potter, 80, of Fern Creek, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at his home.  He was born on February 22, 1942 to the late Raymond E. and May Esther Potter in Fairdale, KY.  Mike was a graduate of Southern High School, a retired pipefitter for Local 669, and an Army National Guard veteran.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Kinser.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra Potter; four children, Cindi Huff (Gordon), Michele Brooks, Michael T. Potter Jr., and Melissa Ballinger (Marty); one brother, Raymond Potter Jr.; a sister, Barbara Wise; nine grandchildren, JR Huff, Ashley Huff, Erika Brooks, Morgan McDonald, Austin Brooks, Katlyn Kuchenbrod, Josh Ballinger, Ty Brooks, and Brandin Potter; along with eight great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Crosswater Gardens Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday.  Memorial gifts are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or Fern Creek Highview Ministries.
