Myrna Turner Cox Sellinger, 71, of Mt. Washington, returned to her Heavenly Father on August 13, 2023, surrounded by her loving friends and family. Myrna became a Christian in 1975 and served the Lord faithfully by teaching and co-pastoring with her husband, John as an ordained Four Square Minister. She was currently a member of the Mt. Washington Church of God, where she was an assisting minister, taught adult Sunday School, and led the Senior Adult Ministry. Myrna also taught second grade at Victory Christian Academy for many years. Along with her loving husband John, Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, Bobbie and Dorothy Turner; her son, Jonathan Cox; and her brother, Robert Gene Turner. She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Williamson (Tom); her brother, James Richard Turner (Christine); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Saturday at the Mount Washington Church of God with burial to follow in the Mount Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit 4-8 p.m. Friday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the team at Hosparus, especially Chad and Lilly, as well as her special step-daughter, Denise Norton for their love, care, and support.
