Myrtle (Gregory) York

Myrtle York, 92, of Bardstown, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2025 at her home.  She was born on June 5, 1932 in Madison County, KY to the late Rufus and Frankie Gregory.  Myrtle was a homemaker, enjoyed sewing, quilting, working jigsaw puzzles and word search.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Loyd Harrison and John York; six children, Evelyn Howard, Lloyd Stanley Harrison, Vivian Gunter, David Harrison, Michael Wayne Harrison, and Linda Sue Gill; and siblings, Ernest, Gillis, Oscar, Geraldine, Reva and Bernice.  Myrtle is survived by five children, Juanita Harrison Challoner (Vernon), Daniel Harrison, Mary Jane Lamb, Matthew Harrison (Laura), and William Joseph Harrison; one sister, Eva Lakes; along with a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Cremation was chosen.  McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mt. Washington has been entrusted with the arrangements.
