Nancy Carol Carrithers, 90, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Sanders Ridge Health Campus. She was the former Nancy Jasper, a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington, where she participated in Women on Missions, the senior adult choir, Young at Heart, and the Rebekah Sunday School Class. She was a former employee with the Kentucky Association of Highway Contractors and the Phil Brown Insurance Agency. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.C. Carrithers; her parents, Maynard and Nina Margaret Jasper; and siblings, Anna Joyce Hall, J.R., William Ellis, and Tom Jasper. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Jones (Mike) and Linda Angel (Steve); a grandson, Matthew Clay Jones (Carman); along with two great grandchildren, Madeline Clay and John Clayton Jones. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church Mt. Washington Coakley Chapel with burial to follow in Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville. Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Sunrise Children’s Home.
