Nathan Allen Durrett, 47, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Monday, May 18, 2026 at his home. Nathan was born on February 2, 1979 in Louisville, KY to Lewis Durrett and Robin Earley. Nathan was a dedicated employee of Ready Electric. To know Nathan was to love him. He truly never met a stranger, always showing deep compassion and concern for everyone he met. Guided by faith, he spent his life seeking knowledge and drawing closer to God. He loved spending his spare time bowling on a league, and while he was a lifelong University of Kentucky fan, he was recently converted into an Alabama sports fan.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sons, Brendan Gritton, Tyler Durrett, and Jordan Durrett; one sister, Lindsey McCutcheon and her husband, Josh; a nephew, Ayden Durrett; along with the family dogs, Ally Bama and Bo Bo James.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Friends may visit on Friday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and after 11 a.m. on Saturday.
