Paul Joseph Ahlhaus, Sr.

Paul Joseph Ahlhaus Sr., 77, of Louisville, returned to the Lord on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Westminster Terrace.  He was a retired employee of General Electric, a lifetime member of St. Joseph Orphanage Society, and was a Kentucky National Guard veteran.  Paul was also an amateur radio operator with the call name of K4RJF.  He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Ahlhaus; his parents, Matthew M. and Avellina Miller Ahlhaus; one sister, Helen Rieger (Leo); a brother, Raymond Joseph Ahlhaus; and two brothers-in-law, William Iglehart and James McMahan.  Paul is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sharon Parido Ahlhaus; one son, Paul J. Ahlhaus, Jr. (Beth); daughter-in-law, Lori Coyle; one sister, Joan McMahan; along with four grandchildren, Trevor, Carter, Ella, and Porter.  A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2020 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington.  Friends may visit from 1 p.m. until time of service on Thursday.  Memorial gifts in Paul’s memory are suggested to St. Joseph Orphanage, Hosparus, or Multiple Sclerosis Asscoiation.
