Pearl S. (Searcy) Martin

Pearl S. Martin, 85, of Mt. Washington, passed away June 13, 2020 at Signature Healthcare, Taylorsville.

She was a former member of Riverview Baptist Church, a current member of Mount Washington United Methodist Church, and the Red Hat Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Martin; along with a sister, Fannie Ellen Wright.

She is survived by her son, James W. Martin, Jr. (Aletha); two daughters, Sheila Gibson (Jim Jefferson) and Mary Carpenter (Kevin); along with four grandchildren, Charity and Madison Martin and Sydney and Chase Carpenter.

Funeral services will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with a private burial to be held later at Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit from 4 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Mount Washington United Methodist Church.
