Phyllis Hodges Raque, 73, of Louisville, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025 at the University of Louisville Hospital. Phyllis retired from the Louisville Police Department after 28 years of faithful service. She was a member of the Middletown Order of Eastern Star Chapter 319, Supreme Council of Order of Amaranth, and White Shrine. She enjoyed gardening, watching the squirrels and birds, vacationing out West, and University of Kentucky Basketball. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Joseph Raque Jr.; and her parents, Clyde and Hartsell Hodges. Phyllis leaves behind three children, Maurice Joseph III (Rachel), Laura (Stuart), and Michael Raque; along with three grandsons, William, Evan, and Peyton. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2025 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Sonora Cemetery. Friends may visit on Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Friday until time of service. Memorial gifts are suggested to Hosparus of Louisville.
