Richard Bishop

Richard Bishop, 90, of Mt. Washington, passed away November 25, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was retired from Henry Vogt Machine, a United States Air Force Veteran, and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, where he was very devoted and involved in the Upward Youth Sports program.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James Richard and Gladys Bishop; a son, David Eugene Bishop; along with his siblings, George Bishop and Dorothy Hale.  He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Brock Bishop; a daughter, Belinda Atwood (Brent); a son, David Bishop; a niece, Serena Geddis; along with three grandchildren, Christina and Savannah Atwood and Anna Grace Porter.  Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  Friends may visit 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hosparus.
