Rita Faye (Wathen) Allen

Rita Faye Allen, 72, of Louisville, passed away December 31, 2024 at Essex Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Louisville.  She loved cross-stitch, reading, and spending time with her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Beulah Wathen; along with a brother, Joe Wathen.  She is survived by her loving husband, Rusty Allen; a son, David Allen (Michelle); a daughter, Melanie Stepp (Johnathon); a sister, Jane Schaefer; along with four grandchildren, Austin, Cameron, Emmalee, and Jaxon and two great-grandchildren, Braxton and Slayton.  Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Saturday. Burial will take place at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit after 10 a.m. Saturday.
