Robert Joseph Clancy, 94, of Louisville, passed away February 9, 2026 at Baptist Health Louisville. He was a retired employee of General Electric with 42 years of service, a United States Marine Corps Veteran, serving during the Korean War, a member of the American Legion Post 157, and a Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Clancy and Edna Dalhover Peacock; a son, Jeffrey Alan Clancy; two siblings, William Clancy and Betty Hutt; along with a grandson, Justin Mercer. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Stevens Clancy; two sons, Dennis and Mark Clancy; a daughter, Karen Clancy Mercer (Jeffery); his grandchildren, Leah Manderano (Pete), Krystal, Elizabeth, and Caity Clancy, Amanda Lowe (Eric), Alyssa Clancy, Andrea Bradshaw (Dustin), Robert Clancy, Logan Mercer, Hannah Miles (Jacob), and Jared Mercer; along with 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit 3-7 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday.
