Rose Ethel Spalding, 84, of Mt. Washington, passed away July 31, 2022 at Baptist Health Louisville. She spent her working career at Brown-Williamson, Louisville, was a member of St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church, and enjoyed all types of gaming, including, cards, bingo, and video poker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Mary Graves; her loving husband, Lambert Spalding; along with her son, Wayne Spalding. She is survived by two sons, Doug (Glenda) and Mike Spalding; a sister, Barbara Reid; her daughter in law, Teresa Spalding; along with seven grandchildren, Jessica, Paul, Travis, Justin, Joey, Kyle, and Zac, and eight great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, Jayden, Grayson, Harper, Jace, Everlee, and Tucker. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit 4-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests all memorial contributions be made to St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church.
