Ruth (Smothers) DeVore

Ruth Smothers DeVore, 80, of Mt. Washington, passed away November 10, 2021 at Baptist Health Louisville.  She was a faithful member of Lighthouse General Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, McKinley and Liddie Smothers; a brother, James McKinley Smothers; along with her loving husband, Bob DeVore.  She is survived by two sons, Charles McKinley (Andrea) and Anthony Scott (Debbie) Lawson; along with six grandchildren, Joseph McKinley and Jenny Marie Lawson, Kevin and Christopher Leedy, Stephen Sellers, and Stephanie Keys and seven great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit 3-6 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday.
