Sharon Kay (Palmer) Owen

Sharon Kay Owen, 69, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Norton Audubon Hospital.  She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Palmer and Maudie Nation; her former husband and companion, Billy Owen; granddaughter, Natalie LeAnn Owen; a brother, Gary Palmer; and sister, Doris Smith.  Sharon is survived by three children, Nathan Lee Owen (Jennifer), Jason Matthew Owen, and Wendy Clairse Crockett (Jorge); two brothers, Terry (Rhonda) and Larry (Mary) Palmer; along with ten grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; and one great grandson.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mount Washington Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.
