Sheila Kay (Russell) Alcorn

Sheila Kay Alcorn, 56, of Jeffersontown, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.  She was a native of Madison, Indiana, a former bus driver for Oldham County Public Schools, and operated Alcorn Produce along with her husband.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Russell and Evangeline Hazelip; a brother, Mike Russell; and a sister, Sallie Downs.  Sheila is survived by her husband of 35 years, Sherman Alcorn; one daughter, Marlena Alcorn-Eagler (Anthony); three sisters, Patricia O'Bryan, Connie Bell and Sherry Sutton; a brother, Kenneth Russell; two grandchildren, Will and Raylon Russell; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.  Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
