Sheila Layne (Branson) Whitworth

Sheila Layne Whitworth, 65, of Louisville, returned to the Lord on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.  She was the former Sheila Branson, a 1977 graduate of Bullitt Central High School, and a retired employee of Anthem BCBS.  Sheila was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, and had been attending Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  In her spare time, she enjoyed watching old television shows.  She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Branson.  Sheila is survived by her mother, Jeanette Branson; a brother, Greg Branson (Kimberly); an aunt, Jane Smith of Whitesburg, KY; and an uncle, Ronald Sturgill of Jacksonville, FL.  Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday.  Memorial gifts in her memory are suggested to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church or Hosparus of Louisville.
