Shirley Elizabeth Cooper, 87, of Mt. Washington, passed away February 15, 2024 at Baptist Health Louisville. She was a retired clerk at Sears and a member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses at Shepherdsville, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Charlie Mae Cooper; along with her siblings, Preston Ray Cooper, Charles Harry Cooper, Hugh Douglas Cooper, Edwin Stanley Cooper, and Edna Mae Messinger. She is survived by a son, Douglas McLaughlin; a grandson, Sebastian Navakuku; a grand-daughter, Elizabeth Stuckey; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Frances Cooper Hurst; along with a host of nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held Saturday 11:00 a.m. CST at the Macedonia Cemetery, Falls of the Rough, KY. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 205 Charles Hamilton Way, Shepherdsville, KY 40165.
