Shirley Ann (Acuff) Dever

Shirley Ann Dever, 88, of Mt. Washington, formerly of Louisville, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Green Meadows Health Care Center.  Shirley was born on May 13, 1937 in Jeffersonville, IN, to the late Howard and Virginia Acuff.  She was a retired employee of Naval Ordinance and a former realtor.  She was a member of South Louisville Seventh Day Adventist.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Dever; and two siblings, Dickie Joe Walter and Lonetta Paxton.  Shirley leaves behind two sons, Michael (Delores) and Jeffrey (Nancy) Dever; one daughter, Teri Harwell (Tom); along with seven grandchildren and a great grandbaby on the way.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen.  Memorial gifts in her memory are suggested to be made to her church.
