Stephen Snyder Obituary

Stephen Ernest Snyder, 80, of Mt. Washington, passed away September 30, 2022 at Baptist Health Louisville. He was a native of Spencer County, KY, a retired employee of General Electric, and a former member of the United States Army Reserves. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bedford and Imogene Snyder; a son, Ernest Snyder; a brother, James Scott Snyder; along with a sister, Annette Wyatt. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elaine Yates Snyder; a daughter, Stephanie Snyder Matherly; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; along with his fur babies, Max and Sadie. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Valley Cemetery, Taylorsville. Friends may visit from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make all memorial contributions to Bernheim Forest, Clermont, KY or the Kentucky Humane Society.
