Steven George Packer

Steven George Packer, 70, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on  December 14, 2025 at Baptist Health Louisville.  Steven was born on May 20, 1955 in Louisville, KY to the late Donald and Rosemary Packer.  He was the owner of Speed Machine Shop, enjoyed building racing engines, drag racing, and spending time with his kids and grandkids.  He was also a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Shepherdsville.    Steven  is survived by his loving wife, Pat Packer; three sons, Steven (Shelby), James, and Daniel Packer; two brothers, Mike and Ed Packer; a sister, Susan Packer; along with five beloved grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with cremation to follow.  Friends may visit from 12 p.m. until service time.
